ABOUT STUDENTS' LAW NETWORK

Founded in 2015, the Students’ Law Network (formerly the Ryerson Law Network) has grown into the premier law-focused student organization at Toronto Metropolitan University. With a university population of over 35,000 students and one of the largest club memberships on campus, SLN serves as a key resource for students interested in law and related professional pathways. Our mandate extends beyond the classroom through student-led initiatives designed to support and connect aspiring legal professionals. SLN actively fosters meaningful relationships with the broader legal community, creating opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development. Our growing social media presence reflects our continued engagement with the TMU student body and our commitment to accessibility and outreach. SLN is best known for its flagship events, including the Case Competition and Mock Trial, alongside a wide range of opportunities that connect students directly with the legal community. Through events featuring distinguished legal experts from a variety of industries, as well as hands-on workshops and networking sessions, SLN provides practical skill-building experiences that support both personal and professional growth. This commitment to excellence has been recognized by the Toronto Metropolitan Students' Union, which awarded SLN first place for Student Group of the Year.
